For Life and Friendship

A3, graphite pencil, mechanical pencil 0,7 B and 0,5 HB. This took me the better part of fourteen hours.

From left to right: Sev Caroncho, Nic Neherico, Wade Iwiech, Jiam Caverney, and in the front cousins Len and Cim Cicéro are arguing about something. Cim is obviously somewhat intoxicated and not listening. They are somewhere in a soldier den somewhere towards the end of the war. Jiam has already left the frontiers after his twin brother was killed, Len hasn't lost his legs just yet and Nic and Cim are safely returned from their time as prisoners of war in Necor everyone's happy.

oh my this was a challenge! i ignored perspective completely and focused on expressing distance and space instead. Making the characters in the foreground appear to be in the foreground without losing all detail in the back was hellish, but i learned a lot about outlines and smudging. And drawing more than two people on one canvas is always a stink, but I'm - for now - ok with the result. I'd change quite a bit if it was possible, but I think the paper would die then XD
